In line with its drive to leverage technology to develop Nigeria’s Housing Market, NMRC has advanced engagement with the leadership of the Nigerian Institute of Estate Surveyors and Valuers (NIESV) led its president, ESV Sir Emmanuel Okas Wike on the adoption of Nigeria’s first Digital Property Verification & Valuation System, PropVat by its members.

This follows the partnership agreement that NMRC signed with House Africa, developers of the blockchain-based digital platform in July 22nd, 2020.

The innovative system is designed to make land bankable, increase access to credit, and reduce turnaround time for mortgage transactions. It makes it possible for individuals and organizations – including Financial Institutions – to authenticate, validate or confirm the value of any Property or Land across Nigeria and ultimately improve the amount of mortgage financing transactions in Nigeria.
