Dr. Obaleye is an accomplished financial services executive and business leader with extensive experience spanning banking, consulting, and diversified investments. He currently serves as Group Executive Director of Adkan Group (a civil engineering, banking and manufacturing conglomerate); as well as President of Angel Partners Limited, (a consulting, investment advisory and real estate finance services firm).

Dr. Obaleye has had an illustrious banking career encompassing roles at Afribank Nigeria Limited, Midas Bank, Société Bancaire, and most notably Infinity Trust Mortgage Bank Plc, where he served as the MD/CEO from 2004 to 2021, and where his transformative leadership drove significant growth and institutional stability. Following his retirement, and in compliance with CBN tenure regulations, he was reappointed to the Board as a Non- Executive Director in 2025, bringing strategic oversight and continuity of vision. He currently serves as the Chairman of Nigeria Mortgage Refinance Company Plc (NMRC), is a member of the Mentoring Committee of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN) and sits on the boards of several other companies. Dr. Obaleye holds a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) from Walden University, an MBA (Financial Management) from University of Abuja, and a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Obafemi Awolowo University.

He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, an Honorary Senior Member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria, an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria, and a Member of the Institute of Directors Nigeria. Dr. Obaleye is an alumnus of leading global executive institutions, including Wharton Business School, Lagos Business School, Strathmore University Business School, and Yale University.

He is an avid golfer and served as Captain of the IBB International Golf and Country Club (2023–2024).
