In line with the commitment to supporting stakeholder initiatives that stimulate housing market development in Nigeria, the Nigeria Mortgage Refinance Company (NMRC) last week, August 4, hosted the Pitch Session of the Nigeria Property Technology capacity-building conference (NIPROTECH 2022). The NIPROTECH 2022 conference started on August 3 at Four Points Sheraton, Oniru, Lagos.
The Day 2 session at the NMRC office in Lagos featured business presentations by over ten (10) Nigerian PropTech Start-up companies covering different aspects of the housing value chain to potential investors and participants.
In his remarks at the event, the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of NMRC, Mr. Kehinde Ogundimu, re-stated NMRC’s commitment to supporting initiatives that leverage the power of technology to spur housing development in the country.
“We are proud to host this event and commend the Nigeria Property Technology Group for this initiative. We look forward to collaborating with them towards ensuring that the efforts bear fruit,” he noted.
As part of the support package, NMRC plans to provide incubation opportunities for select PropTech Startups as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility.
Dr. Roland Igbinoba, Founder of the Nigeria Property Technology Group, thanked NMRC for recognizing and prioritizing technology as an enabler of housing development and for the consistent support of stakeholder efforts. He noted that fostering PropTech development in Nigeria will introduce efficiencies at several points of the housing value chain and engender innovation in the market.
